Thanks to the creation of the research centre “Markets, Culture and Ethics,” we have being working on PhD dissertations regarding the philosophical roots of the thought of some of the great economists of our time. The first finished work is about “Intuition and Persuasion in John Maynard Keynes,” and the other works in progress regard Wilhelm Röpke, Friedrich Hayek, and Carl Menger.

The other branch of our research is centered upon the anthropological basis of human action, as a part of a philosophy of the human person. A groundbreaking work on resilience (Martin Seligman’s positive psychology view) and classical ethics by one of our Licentiate was discussed in Autumn 2012. Other Licentiate and PhD students are working on similar contemporary authors who deal with virtues, character, and the significance of these in organizations.

In January 2013 organized with Marta Rocchi a 3 day workshop with professors of 13 schools of management to explore ways of collaboration among scholars on human development. Director of the Scientific Committee of the Conference “Human Flourishing in Organizations”, to be held in Rome in February 24-25, 2014.http://www.pusc.it/http://www.pusc.it/http://www.pusc.it/fil/conv2014shapeimage_6_link_0shapeimage_6_link_1
